Palm Hill: This Resort-Style Curiosity is a Modern Coastal Interior Design Dream

House Tour

Palm-Hill-HR-01

Palm Hill is Gold Coast luxury living at its finest. Thoughtfully designed modern coastal interior design, incredible panoramic views, and an indulgent outdoor entertainment area turn this modern masterpiece by Reece Keil Design and Studio White Interiors into a resort-style dream.

Come with us as we explore this inspirational two-storey U-shaped modern beach house in Reedy Creek, Gold Coast, which seamlessly blends indoor outdoor living spaces and imaginatively implements carefully selected tiles and tapware to produce a modern coastal curiosity.

After entering Palm Hill through a private gate, you are welcomed by a central courtyard, which houses a charming guest retreat. The front door leads into the open-plan living and dining area, where the kitchen is defined by a beige travertine backsplash that pairs perfectly with our elegant Elysian Pot Filler in brushed copper.

Moving into the living room, the raked ceiling draws interest to the beautiful natural stone feature wall. At the same time, the abundance of windows and sliding doors ensures an airy atmosphere that seamlessly integrates the indoors with the outdoors—offering spectacular views of the Gold Coast skyline.

The downstairs powder room is notable for its distinctive limestone tile, which achieves an almost 3D effect thanks to its wide flute. It is accompanied by ABI Interiors’ Milani Swivel Hob Mixer Set in brushed copper.

One of Palm Hill's many standout features is its indulgent infrared sauna, which is adjacent to the aesthetically pleasing laundry. Natural limestone in the herringbone format is used for the floors, while a travertine mosaic decorates the walls.

Upstairs, the eastern wing reveals the master bedroom, which showcases such thoughtful innovations as a ‘his and hers’ wardrobe and a feature wall with cleverly hidden storage. A spacious private balcony offers more inspirational Gold Coast views, while the ensuite showcases an oversized vanity with double basins and a two-metre-long custom arch mirror that opens up the space.

An exquisite patterned tile in the double shower pairs perfectly with our brushed copper tapware and accessories, such as the Eden Shower Arm and Shower Head Round.

The western wing of this modern coastal home includes two kids’ bedrooms and a playroom taking up the third, which brings back that memorably raked ceiling feature from the living room. A freestanding bath, serviced by our Floor-Mounted Bath Filler and Sola Hand Shower, stands out in the main bathroom. The limestone flooring previously appreciated in the laundry is repurposed in a vertical stack for the walls here, bringing an excellent point of difference to this space.

Careful cohesion is vital to this property’s visual essence, which can be appreciated from the choice of tapware to the matching glass hardware and accessories. These small details and the seamless indoor-outdoor flow are the secrets to Palm Hill’s architectural prowess.

The outdoor entertaining space continues to impress, thanks to the thought that has gone into the design of the living spaces. A fire pit, a beautifully arched pool overlooking the view, an outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven, and a barbecue contribute to the resort-like intrigue of this coastal dream.
