Aúra by Kamber: An Idyllic Indoor-Outdoor Modern Coastal Retreat
House Tour
Positioned close to the coast, Aúra by Kamber is an unforgettable modern coastal Mediterranean residence, defined by open-plan living and a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Our tumbled aged brass finish beautifully complements its character, enhancing the warmth and refinement of a design that more than lives up to its ‘Aúra’ (Greek for ‘gentle breeze’) name.

A well-considered side entryway sets the tone for Aúra by Kamber, featuring our Sola Garden Outdoor Shower in tumbled aged brass. Italian Handmade Terracotta Breeze Blocks provide an earthy, warm tone.
Across the interior, the home’s concrete construction creates a strong sense of volume, with six-metre ceilings amplifying the open-plan living space. A sunken lounge offers an impressive, much-sought-after focal point, softened by an inviting, tonal palette that redefines concrete’s traditionally cold aesthetic.
The ensuite off the guest bedroom showcases our tapware and shower fixtures, including the Thin Bench-Mounted Spout in tumbled aged brass, its evolving patina contributing to the layered character of this space. A unique earthiness is provided thanks to Japanese handmade tiles.
The character continues in the kitchen, with an island countertop defined by exquisite Sicilian Verde stone, its subtle detailing reflecting the surrounding greenery and complemented perfectly by our Elysian Kitchen Mixer in the same favoured finish.
Beyond its ‘gentle breeze’ namesake, Aúra’s seamless indoor-outdoor flow is a defining feature, as experienced by the outdoor living area. Here, stainless steel tapware mirrors the built-in barbecue, while integrated beer taps and a skylight framed by cascading greenery create an easy, relaxed space for entertaining. A strong connection to planting carries throughout, with layered greenery and a central olive tree visible from multiple points within the home.
Back inside, a dining nook with integrated seating sits just off the sunken lounge, positioned to take advantage of the calming atmosphere. A dedicated wellness retreat features the same earthy, handmade Japanese tiles, complete with a heated plunge pool, an ice bath, and an indulgent sauna, adding another layer of quiet luxury, with the courtyard thoughtfully visible from the bedrooms above. It’s this level of considered detailing that defines Aúra, from stair rods that echo the pool fencing to a timber floating staircase that draws natural light from the wellness garden.
The upper level carries that same openness, with voids and skylights drawing light through the space and glass walls helping maintain a strong connection to the outdoors. A suspended garden element introduces greenery at height, adding a softer layer to the architecture. Looking out over the canal, the primary suite takes on a quieter, more restful feel, where a Venetian stone double vanity in muted pink-red tones is paired with tumbled aged brass fixtures.
It creates a calming sanctuary, perfectly distilling Aúra’s considered design, refined material palette and that same sense of a gentle, ever-present breeze throughout.
