The Sola Garden Hose Tap is an elegant yet functional addition to your home’s outdoor area. Constructed from durable solid brass, it can be easily retrofitted to your existing plumbing. The Sola Garden Hose Tap is available in five premium finishes, allowing you to coordinate with your home’s existing fixtures.
Our Tumbled Aged Brass finish is made from raw, uncoated brass that naturally patinas over time to create a unique, aged look. It is achieved by placing raw brass products into a tumbler containing small stones. The products are then ‘tumbled’ to allow the stones to give the brass a unique, organic appearance. Its solid brass construction solidifies its outdoor durability.

Environmental factors and the installation location will influence how fast the product oxidises and the aged look achieved. As a result, there will be a slight variation in the finish of each product, so no two products appear exactly the same, helping you achieve individuality in your design. The product may arrive with a natural patina already.

This product has a dual check value built in and does not require a vacuum breaker to be compliant.
Do we apply clear lacquer to our tumbled aged brass products?
No - our Tumbled Aged Brass range is not lacquered and has a raw brass finish. We value the natural ageing process of solid brass and the organic finish created by gradual oxidation. Laquer also tends to degrade over time and is more prone to flaking or discolouration.
Will my tumbled aged brass product darken over time?
The natural patina on tumbled aged brass will continue to develop over time, potentially leading to a darker appearance. Each product will naturally patina differently and at different speeds depending on the installation environment. However, the finish can be restored to a brighter condition if you desire.
Can I restore my tumbled aged brass product to a brighter condition?
You can use a quality brass cleaner like Brasso and a clean, soft cloth to keep tumbled aged brass shiny and return it to a brighter condition, without compromising its integrity.

Most of the range is constructed from highly durable 316 stainless steel, which is suitable for coastal environments. The Tumbled Aged Brass finish, however, is crafted from solid brass — a durable material that naturally develops a patina over time.
