Ideal floor tiles combine durability, low maintenance, and attractive design, fitting seamlessly into diverse home or commercial interiors.

Our Floor Tiles Range

We sell a comprehensive range of highly durable and aesthetic small and large format tiles suitable for interior and outdoor areas.
These tiles have a textural surface that reinforces their anti-slip properties and are available in various styles, shapes, and sizes to accommodate your space.

Large Format Floor Tiles

Our collection of large, hard-wearing floor tiles comes in different styles and dimensions, perfect for homes across New Zealand. We also sell large format tiles suitable for swimming pool areas and commercial spaces. Our tiles are available in various materials, including porcelain, genuine limestone, and travertine.
Our selection of porcelain floor tiles replicates the look of limestone, concrete, or travertine. Our travertine tiles are resistant to stains, scratches, and moisture and are available in three different dimensions: 600x300mm, 600x900mm, and 600x1200mm.
We offer limestone tiles that feature a rectified edge and come in a range of shades, including beige and light grey, available in two sizes: 600x600mm and 600x1200mm. The concrete-look tiles we have come in beige, bone, dark or light grey and are also available in a 600x300mm dimension.
Crafted from authentic limestone, our genuine limestone floor tiles have a natural textured finish and are sandblasted for slip resistance—perfect for pool surrounds and commercial settings. A waterproofing stone sealant has also been applied to these outdoor floor tiles to increase longevity. Our equally genuine travertine floor tiles have a rectified edge and a honed satin finish and are further characterised by a porous surface that features distinctive pots and holes. They are highly versatile with a low-maintenance structure that comes in grey and a 600x600mm dimension.

Small Format Floor Tiles

In addition, we also have a selection of small format tiles with anti-slip properties suitable for flooring.
Our durable genuine marble tiles feature a semi-natural edge and a honed finish that offers greater resistance to scratching. These 100x100mm tiles are available in black, ice, tundra, and pewter grey to suit many spaces.
Please Note: While these tiles have been tested for floor mounting, they must be sealed when used in wet areas.

Floor Tiles FAQs

How do I determine if my tiles can be used on the floor?

faq open

Because they are denser and fired at higher temperatures, floor tiles are stronger than wall tiles and better suited for walking surfaces. To determine whether or not a tile is suitable for your floor, we recommend referring to the slip rating for further guidance. Slip ratings range from P0 to P5; the higher the number, the lower the risk of slipping.

What colour tile is best for floors?

faq open

We’re always available to assist you in selecting the ideal tile colour to suit your project. Consider a complimentary consultation with ABI Interiors, in-store or online, to turn your vision into reality.

How many tiles do I need for my project?

faq open

For the best results, consult a qualified tradesperson who can advise you on the most suitable tiles for your project. It is always recommended to have a 10-15% surplus of tiles for any project to account for any cuts and breakages, mistakes, or future repairs that may be required.

Can floor tiles be used on walls?

faq open

To find out whether a tile can be used on walls, refer to the ‘Specifications’ tab on its ABI Interiors product page.

Can I install floor tiles myself, or should I hire a professional installer?

faq open

For best results, always hire qualified tradespeople to install your tiles.

How do I clean and maintain my floor tiles?

faq open

The cleaning method depends on the type of bathroom tile you have. For detailed care instructions, please consult our Tiles and Flooring Care Guide.

What floor tiles can be used outside?

faq open

To determine whether a tile can be used externally, refer to the ‘Specifications’ tab on its ABI Interiors product page.

Why do floor tiles pop up?

faq open

Popping tiles may result from insufficient adhesive, exposure to moisture, or fluctuations in temperature and humidity leading to expansion and contraction. Poor surface preparation or using the wrong adhesive can also contribute to the problem. To avoid these issues, hiring a professional tradesperson for tile installation is essential.
